OCA provides
partial funding to OMAFRA for an inspector who visits livestock auction
markets and processing plants to ensure that scales are accurate and
carcass trimming procedures are followed correctly.
This inspector assists producers by investigating
complaints and acting as a mediator. The inspector also monitors and helps to
enforce grade labeling regulations at retail meat counters.
